The Church

From the founding of our congregation on March 29, 1999 until the fall of 2009, our degraded house of prayer in Strada Negruzzi Street was our spiritual home. Then we moved into the room on the ground floor in the first building with accommodation, which at that time was not yet partitioned. From June 28, 2014, we moved to the room on the ground floor of our EU-funded HU-RO building.

Finally, after the festive inauguration on December 15, 2019, our congregation was able to arrive at its final home, the CHURCH.

The nave together with the circular gallery can accommodate 500 people.

The Organ

Our organ was built at the same time as the church, almost in parallel, in the workshop of organ builder Péter Sándor from Csíkszentsimon.

It has 25 registers and two manuals, it is the only mechanical organ in Timisoara.

In our worship services, organist Viorel Ciurtin is the cantor, but we hope to provide as many organ concerts as possible in this architecture with a special atmosphere.

It was finished on April 19, 2021.

Accommodation

If you are visiting Timișoara and do not want to stay in a crowded mass accommodation, not even between the walls of a hotel with sterile atmosphere: visit our center. You can reserve your room by phone or email. If you look at the attached pictures, you can be convinced: the rooms are as special as the building itself. They are equipped with parquet floors and have a small hallway and a private bathroom. The two buildings around the church on two sides have a total of 13 fully equipped guest rooms that can accommodate up to 35 people.
Paintings are here not just decoration, but a work of art. The furniture is tasteful, wooden balks and wooden windows define the atmosphere of each room.
Our prices are at the level of pensions.

Boardroom

This is the top level of the building.

The room has wooden ceilings, perfectly suitable for holding small events and meetings.

The skylights and the furniture of the room make this space unique venue, even in the whole city.

Concert Hall

The Chamber Concert Hall was inaugurated on May 26, 2019. Since then, it has been the venue for several events, concerts and performances.

A beautiful, roof-lit dome hall equipped with a concert piano and hands-free technology, which we have made available to the Banatul Philharmonic in addition to our congregation and other partners.

Club & Play

The inauguration of the Hungarian Club was held on October 24, 2017. In this club everyone can have fun. We organize late afternoon and evening programs where we combine culture with civilized entertainment.

This space is café-like and hosts various club activities, meetings and themed music evenings. It is up to the Hungarians in Timisoara – as well – to bring it to life. We organize programs for the younger ones, middle-aged people and our aging siblings, as well as we leave room for independent initiatives.

The room is equipped with a video projector and professional speakers for occasional celebrations.
